The Independent Hustle

Why does this matter and why even bother with pre-orders? I am publishing Ritual and ruin independently, mostly because I’m a bit of a control freak and only partially because I value entrepreneurship. I’ve always been an lover of the independent hustle, and I’ve tried my hand at selling mixtapes and hand-sewn athletic bags in high school. I can sum up the economics of my art by saying I create for the love and only sell to survive, and quite frankly, I’d rather less hands between me and someone buying my work so that you can be sure your purchase really goes to supporting an artist. That being said, if you like what I do and want to buy me a drink, or a loaf of bread, buy something and I’ll get the message.

Since I am independent and don’t have an industrial budget, I want to make sure I order enough stock for the early birds to ensure that you definitely get the book on or before launch date. By pre-ordering, you secure your copy and help me manage my independent dollar.

I'll be shipping internationally but paying for shipping sucks so if you're in the GTA, I'll be working on a few distribution drops. If you're in the Toronto area and would prefer a free pick up over paying for delivery, just pick the “Pick Up in Toronto” shipping option and I'll let you know about pick up options closer to launch date.
